Residents Displaced After Flames Rip Through Bronx Homes

NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) -- Intense flames ripped through several homes on Schuyler Terrace in the Bronx on Sunday.

The fire devoured an entire section of one home and completely gutted another as firefighters fought to put out hot spots.

Parts of the structures were left bare boned by the blaze. The Red Cross was on the scene providing help for residents who watched their homes go up in smoke.

"My wife was in the house with a bunch of her girlfriends and they heard sparks or small exploding noises. They went outside and noticed that the house was on fire," one man said.

Everyone made it out safely. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
