Despite not being anywhere near 100 percent health wise, Jerry Recco made his way into the Allstate Studio to deliver yet another informative and entertaining sports update. And for that he should be commended.

Anyway, Jerry got started with the story from Texas, the site of Monday night's title game between UConn and Kentucky, as the Huskies prevailed by a score of 60-54.  Connecticut guard Shabazz Napier finished with 22 points and was named the Most Outstanding Player for his efforts.

Tonight the UConn women will try to duplicate what the men accomplished when they take on the Lady Fighting Irish of Notre Dame.

Plus, Manhattan agrees to allow Steve Masiello to keep his head coaching job as long as he completes his college degree (seems fair), John Sterling gets a little overzealous when calling a Derek Jeter double in the Yanks' 4-2 win over the Orioles, Craig took a picture with the Yankees captain prior to the game, Yanks trade Eduardo Nunez and send David Robertson to the DL, Boomer talks about the importance of a pitcher's legs and a Devils loss clinches a playoff spot for the Rangers...
