NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — In a special edition of Furry Friend Finder, CBS 2’s Vanessa Murdock and Diane Macedo interview photographer Rachael Hale McKenna has released a new book called “The New York Dog.”

McKenna said she spent six months in New York last year photographing New York City and the dogs that live in it.

“It amazes me how much New Yorkers love their dogs,” McKenna said. “They absolutely adore them, and they are part of the family. It’s incredible.”

Murdock and Macedo also introduced Stephan, who is looking for a forever home. You can get to know him better by watching the video above.

Every Sunday morning around 8:20 on the CBS 2 News, The Humane Society of New York City features some of its many great pets up for adoption.
