NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) — Monday marks the start of Passover.
The Jewish festival celebrates the freedom of the Israelites from slavery in Egypt.
Passover begins at sundown with a special dinner known as a sedar.
During Passover, Jews eat matzoh to honor their ancestors who ran in such a hurry that their bread never rose.
