Cops: Suspect Struck Man In The Head With Hammer At Brooklyn Subway Stop
NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) -- The NYPD has asked the public for help in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with a robbery that took place at a Brooklyn subway station on Wednesday morning.
At 9:20 a.m. a 32-year-old man was buying a Metro Card at the Fulton Street & Rockaway Avenue subway stop when the suspect approached him from behind, hit him in the head with a hammer, and demanded money, police said. The victim complied and the suspect fled.
The victim was taken to Brookdale Hospital where he was treated for a head injury and released.
The suspect has been described as a 5'10" black male, weighing between 130 and 150 lbs.
