When Jerry Recco talks, for the most part people listen.  Today when he was given the green light to do his thing, he delivered, beginning with Monday night's seesaw battle in the Bronx.

The Mets won in impressive fashion, topping the Yankees 9-7 behind four long balls and have now won five straight against the Yanks dating back to last season.

In other baseball news, Marlins ace Jose Fernandez was placed on the DL and could be headed for Tommy John surgery.

The Nets let one get away against the Heat in Brooklyn, dropping Game 4 by a score of 102-96.  LeBron James led the way for Miami, tying a playoff career high with 49 points.  The Blazers got a 103-92 win over the Spurs, their first of the series and now trail San Antonio three games to one.  Rounding out the NBA, the Cavs fired Mike Brown for the second time in his career.
