The great Jim Rome made the big announcement Friday on behalf of the Pulse of the People Award committee, revealing the 2014 nominees:
Craig Carton: The four-time — and reigning — PoTP award winner is an accomplished author and has appeared in several pilots that won’t been picked up. The type of guy who would put fish in the office microwave.
Boomer Esiason: NFL MVP and multimedia star who already has a PoTP under his belt. This year, he added another job to his resume — shock jock!
Phil Simms: Super Bowl MVP (and CBS Sports MVP). Often gets mistaken for Boomer.
NY Post’s Mike Puma: Makes fat jokes, and the Mets don’t like that.
N.J. Gov. Chris Christie: A Dallas Cowboys fan who’d love to be general manager of the New York Mets. While many of the Pulse of the People nominees are building bridges, he’s closing them down.
The seventh annual award will be handed out on Monday, July 7. So keep it tuned in to the “Boomer & Carton” show, weekdays from 6 to 10 a.m. on WFAN 660-AM and 101.9-FM.
