Twenty years ago today, Jerry Recco was watching the Knicks-Rockets Game 5 with his lovely wife-to-be and afterwards he splurged and ordered a pizza.

These days Jerry can be heard providing updates on this thing we call the Boomer & Carton Morning Extravaganza, and Tuesday he began his report with the United States' 2-1 triumph over Ghana in the World Cup, which seems to have drummed up some interest in the sport of soccer (for the time being anyway).

Plus, Hall of Famer Tony Gwynn passes away at the age of 54 from cancer, Mets lost to the Cardinals 6-2, Orioles catcher Matt Wieters needs Tommy John Surgery, which prompted Craig to try and make sense of the insane amount of injuries, particularly arm injuries which have become so common in the sport today, starting at the Little League level.  Rounding out the baseball, the Yanks had the night off, setting the stage for a 'Tanaka Tuesday' tonight at Yankee Stadium.

Hendrik Lundqvist speaks on the future of the Rangers and the Kings celebrated their Stanley Cup win with a parade.

And when Jerry didn't have any audio marking the aforementioned 20-year anniversary of the infamous O.J. Simpson white Bronco chase, which interrupted the NBA Finals and thus captivated the nation, Craig took the update maven to task, leading to a chaotic blame game up in the Allstate Studio...
