NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Police on Tuesday said they have located a 69-year-old tourist from Japan who went missing along with his dog.
Makatsu Ito was last seen at 8:15 a.m. Tuesday at 407 Park Ave. South in the 13th Precinct, police said. The Ascot Co-ops are located at the Park Avenue South address.
In an effort to find him, police released photos of Ito and the dog, as well as a surveillance photo showing Ito on Tuesday wearing a white T-shirt, off-white sweat pants with a Champion logo, and blue flip-flops with a Yankees logo.
Police said Ito, who doesn’t speak English, and his dog were found in good health.
They did not specify where the pair were found.
