Tracy Morgan Feeling 'Strong' Continuing Recovery At Home

CRESSKILL, N.J.(CBSNewYork) -- Moving slowly with the help of a walker, Tracy Morgan carefully made his way to a waiting sport-utility vehicle outside of his Cresskill, New Jersey home on Monday.

It was the latest sighting of the 45-year-old comedian since his limousine was rear-ended by a speeding Walmart tractor-trailer on June 7.

Morgan suffered several broken ribs and a broken leg, while his friend James "Jimmy Mack" McNair, was killed.

Morgan flashed a smile and a victory sign as he climbed into the SUV, CBS 2's Hazel Sanchez reported.

He appeared to have lost weight after spending more than a month in a hospital and rehabilitation facility.

Morgan stopped briefly and spoke with reporters and photographers at the end of his driveway. He said that he was recovering well and was grateful for the support.

"I'm OK. I'm strong," he said.

The actor and comedian is now suing Walmart for negligence. The suit claims that the retailer should have known that its driver had not slept for more than 24 hours before the crash.

Morgan was released from the rehabilitation center on Friday.

He will continue the rest of his recovery from home.
