NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – Police have arrested a nearly 7-foot-tall man wanted in connection with the alleged rape of a 20-year-old woman in Washington Heights.

Jean Rodriguez, 23, of the Bronx is charged with rape, burglary, menacing, sexual abuse and criminal sexual act, police said.

Investigators said Rodriguez, who is approximately 6-foot-9, was caught on surveillance video following the victim into her apartment building on West 163rd Street off Broadway around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, CBS 2 reported.

Police said he raped the woman after forcing his way into her apartment when she answered the door.
