Police Seek Suspects In Fatal Plainfield Shooting

PLAINFIELD, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Authorities are looking for several suspects in a shootout in Plainfield that left a 20-year-old man dead and three others injured.

Union County prosecutors say that Dearn Marcano, of Plainfield, was killed around 9 p.m. Saturday after a group of men got out of a vehicle and fired more than a dozen shots.

The shooting occurred near West Third Street and Manson Place and the other three men were found nearby, police said.

Union County prosecutor spokesman Mark Spivey said the other three men remained at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick Sunday morning. All three are Plainfield residents, and their injuries aren't believed to be life threatening.

Authorities are offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment.
