Take My $1,000, Please! Carton Wants In On Mike Francesa's Ice Bucket Challenge

NEW YORK (WFAN) -- Mike Francesa will be partaking in the Ice Bucket Challenge on Friday. And already some big numbers are being thrown around for the chance to do the honors.

During the "Boomer & Carton" show on Tuesday, WFAN's Craig Carton announced that he'd make a sizable donation toward ALS research for the chance to dump the bucket on Francesa.

"I'll just say this right now. I'll pay $1,000 if he lets me do it," Carton said. "I will write a check for $1,000 for the ALS project that the ice bucket challenge is involved with, and I'm the guy that pours the water over his head."

Carton: I'll Donate $1K To Soak Francesa

Carton and midday co-host Joe Benigno have both challenged Francesa in recent days. Those who take the plunge usually call out three people to accept or donate to ALS research -- most do both -- but Carton nominated "one person and one person only."

Francesa announced on Monday that he'd do the Ice Bucket Challenge during his annual end-of-summer bash at Bar A in Lake Como, N.J. There was some talk of getting the crowd involved on Friday to raise as much money as possible.

"If anyone wants to top that, even better," Carton said. "But I just want to put it out there publicly since I challenged him this weekend."

Francesa announced on Tuesday's show that the person lucky enough to soak him would be determined via raffle, with a minimum $1 donation.
