NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Police were searching Tuesday for three men who allegedly held up a day spa on Staten Island and threatened an employee with a hammer.

The robbery happened around 6:20 p.m. this past Wednesday at the New Royal Spa, at 39 Railroad Ave. in the Dongan Hills section of Staten Island, police said.

The suspects walked into the day spa and threatened the employee with the hammer before making off with $600, police said.

Police have released surveillance video of the suspects.

Anyone with information was asked to call the NYPD Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS, log onto the Crime Stoppers website, or text tips to 274637 (CRIMES) and enter TIP577.

The same spa was robbed at knifepoint twice in five days last fall, according to a Staten Island advance report. A suspect – Steven Huscha, 36, of Staten Island – was charged in those cases, the newspaper reported.
