1 Critical, 1 Stable Following Shooting In Brownsville

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A 19-year-old man is clinging to life after a shooting at a Brooklyn liquor store Friday night.

Shards of broken glass clutter the sidewalk in front of the Ville Wines and Liquor store in Brownsville after two men shot the 19-year-old in the right shoulder and a 20-year-old woman in the ankle, WCBS 880's Monica Miller reported.

"It wasn't like one or two it was like six to 10 different shots," said Oneka, who lives across the street.

Oneka said she heard the shots fired at around 11:15 p.m. She said a dark-colored car drove up with two men who fired bullets inside and outside of the store before driving away.

Both victims were taken to Brookdale Hospital, where the man is listed in critical condition, Miller reported.

"It could've been anybody, anybody," Oneka said. "They was just shooting at anything that was in there."

Neither of the victims worked at the liquor store, CBS 2's Janelle Burrell reported.

Police said it's not clear if they were the intended targets and that the investigation is ongoing.
