Thousands To Converge On Central Park On Mission To Defeat Breast Cancer

NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) -- On Sunday morning, thousands of people will converge on Central Park with one goal, to defeat breast cancer.

On Saturday, CBS 2's Andrea Grymes sat down with Linda Tantawi, CEO 'Komen Greater New York City.'

Tantawi filled New Yorkers in on how the well known event got started and discussed the nearly $2.1-million in grants that the event had raised for women in the city. She also touched on other events including the Kids for the Cure Fun Run, Cut for the Cure, Survivor Fashion Challenge, Survivor Beauty Zone, and Zumba Zone.
