Police: Man Shot Through Front Door Of Long Island Home

COPIAGUE, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- Police are investigating after a man was shot through the front door of his Long Island home early Sunday morning.

Suffolk County Police said the suspect knocked at the front door of the home located at 660 Dixon Ave. in Copiague before firing multiple shots through the door at around 12:10 a.m.

Aaron Goodman, who lives in the home, was shot in the abdomen. He was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Police are asking anyone with information regarding the shooting to call the First Squad at 631-854-8152 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
