AMBER Alert Canceled For Missing 9-Year-Old Girl Near Cold Spring, NY

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - The Putnam County Sheriffs Department has cancelled an AMBER Alert for a missing 9-year-old girl.

Sophia Salazar is 4'4" and weighs about 70 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing what authorities describe as "sleepwear."

Authorities said they believed Sophia may have been taken by her mother Luisa Salazar, 37. She is described as 5'1", 160 pounds, with long brown hair with blond highlights and brown eyes. She was wearing gray sweatpants.

Luisa Salazar is believed to be driving a blue metallic 4-door 2007 Honda Civic with old-style white plates, number DMN8229. She is described as being bipolar, off her medication, and experiencing delusional episodes.

There's no word as to why the alert was canceled.
