NYPD: Bronx Man Beaten, Robbed After Meeting With Woman From Facebook

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police said a man was beaten and robbed inside his Bronx apartment by three suspects after meeting up with a woman from Facebook.

It happened back on Sept. 9 on East 166th Street in Tremont.

The victim, a 22-year-old man, was in his apartment with a woman he met on Facebook for about 25 minutes before she said she needed to leave, police said.

When the man escorted her to the door, three suspects pushed their way into the apartment, police said.

One of the suspects, who was armed with a gun, forced the victim to the floor and assaulted him before they tied him up and then stole money, cell phones, computer equipment and sneakers, police said.

The three suspects were seen on surveillance video.
