Police: Man Ripped Chain From Woman, 79, On Staten Island
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Tuesday were asking for help from the public in finding a suspect who followed a 79-year-old woman into an apartment building and ripped a chain off her neck.
Around 12:14 p.m. Monday, the suspect followed the woman into a building at an unspecified address in the 120th Precinct on the North Shore of Staten Island, police said.
He grabbed the chain and ran off, police said.
Police have released surveillance video of the suspect.
