Yes, It's True, Melo Made A Cameo On 'Sons Of Anarchy' On Tuesday

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Carmelo Anthony, television star?

Well, let's not get ahead of ourselves. But if you were watching FX's wildly popular show "Sons of Anarchy" on Tuesday night, you were not seeing things when you witnessed the Knicks' best player step into frame late in the seventh and final season's eighth episode, "The Separation of Crows."

SPOILER ALERT (If you haven't seen the episode yet and don't want to know what happens, step away from the computer now.)

Anthony, who recently re-signed with the Knicks for $120 million-plus over the next five years, plays a soldier in Oakland crime kingpin August Marks' security team. He appears on screen to tell Marks' main henchman, Moses Cartwright, that a phone call has come in that might save the life of the Sons Of Anarchy Motorcycle Club's Bobby Munson.

Might.

Anthony's character then hands Cartwright a knife and ... well, we'll just leave the rest to your imagination and DVRs.

Anthony's appearance on the show looks like it was a one-shot deal, for he is not listed as a cast member in any upcoming episodes, according to IMDB.com.

That might be a good thing considering Anthony and the Knicks open the 2014-15 season on Wednesday against the Chicago Bulls at Madison Square Garden.
