1 Man Killed, 1 Wounded In Newark Shooting

NEWARK, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- One man was killed and another was wounded Thursday evening in Newark.

Around 7:15 p.m., the two men, both in their 20s, were shot at 369 South 9th St. in Newark, according to the Essex County Prosecutor's office.

One man was dead at the scene, prosecutors said.

The other was reported in critical condition at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, prosecutors said.

The identity of the man killed and further details were not immediately available.
