Police Seek Man Who Allegedly Stabbed Estranged Wife In Brooklyn

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are on the hunt for a man they said stabbed his estranged wife in Brooklyn.

The attack happened just before 2 p.m. on Friday.

Authorities said 30-year-old Ravshan Saibnazarova approached the 22-year-old woman from behind on the corner of Brighton Beach Avenue & Brighton 6 Street as she walked to the Brighton Beach subway station and stabbed her multiple times with a knife.

The victim was taken to Lutheran Hospital, where she is listed in stable condition.

Police released a photo of Saibnazarova on Saturday, and described him as 5'9" tall, 160 pounds, brown eyes, straight black hair and speaks in a Russian accent. He was last seen wearing green jeans, a gray jogging jacket and black sneakers.
