Good morning all.

The Monday blues will definitely be in full effect with rain throughout the day-- which could be heavy at times. Some spots north and west of the city will be starting off a bit slick due to some light wintry precip from the overnight hours. Otherwise, we're looking at a general 0.5-1.5" of chilly rain by the end of the day. Temps will warm up to the low 50s for NYC, right where we should be...but don't get too excited, it won't last!

Arctic air rushes in behind the storm Monday night into Tuesday...and the battle between the departing storm and incoming arctic high pressure will mean some hefty winds...which will make it feel downright bone-chilling Tuesday and Wednesday. You'll want to break out your heavy coats, gloves and hats because the wind chills even in NYC will be in the teens!

Winds should be sustained between 20-25 mph and gusting 35-40 mph, making it feel brutal out there. Good news though: we'll warm up a bit and lose the winds heading into the end of the week. As of now, the rest of the week looks dry, just watching a weak front Thursday night which should roll on through with just some extra clouds. Stay tuned for the latest info on the upcoming bitter blast!
