Police: Man Stabbed During Jersey City Bar Brawl
JERSEY CITY, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) - Authorities say a man escaped serious injury when he was stabbed in the back during a large brawl outside a northern New Jersey bar.
The brawl in Jersey City broke out around 2 a.m. Friday. City police officers who happened to be patrolling in the area were able to quickly break up the fight, but once calm was restored they saw the man on the ground, bleeding from an apparent stab wound on his upper back.
The man was taken to a hospital, where he was treated and released later Friday.
It's not yet known what sparked the brawl. No arrests have been made.
