Police: 2 Children Left Alone At Bay Shore Mall

BAY SHORE, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) – Suffolk County police are asking for the public's help in identifying the caregivers or relatives of two children who were found alone at a Bay Shore mall Wednesday afternoon.

Police say a young girl and boy, approximately 3 or 4 years old, were found playing at the south end of the Westfield South Shore Mall near JC Penny and Panera Bread on Sunrise Highway around 2 p.m.

The girl, whose name is possibly Abby, was wearing a blue and purple Dora the Explorer knit hit, black Nike jacket with pink lining and tan boots with hearts on them. The young boy, possibly Tyler, was wearing a red knit cap, dark jacket with a patch of Montreal on his sleeve, white and black Puma sneakers and a grey and neon orange sweatshirt.

Anyone with information on the children or who can help locate their relatives are asking to call police at 631-854-8352.
