Jerry Recco is all about the update, and today's obsession began with some news from the Giants. Tom Coughlin started his media session by reading off the list of players' injuries, which included five guys being placed on season-ending IR.  Craig saw this as an attempt for Coughlin to deflect attention from all the losing, at the same time offering a subtle excuse as to why things have gone so badly.

No matter how you look at it, the media is doing its best to stir things up. And considering what they've been given to work with this season, you can't really blame them.

As for the Jets, according to Kristian Dyer, an unnamed Jets player said that when Geno was reinserted as the starting quarterback, players packed it in and waived the white flag. Take that for what's it worth.  Oh, and Michael Vick has been doing some thinking and he doesn't believe that he was benched in favor of the aforementioned Smith.  Having been in the same situation before, Boomer "thinks" Vick might be mistaken.

Plus, the Cowboys will take on the Bears in Chicago, the Browns elect to stick with Brian Hoyer rather than insert Johnny Manziel as their starting QB and the Nets held of the Spurs in OT (95-93) to win their eighth game of the season. Brook Lopez is alive and well, the Sixers got their very first win with an 85-77 triumph over the T-Wolves and more scores from the NBA. Nick Markakis leaves Baltimore to sign with the Braves and Devils legend Martin Brodeur makes his season debut with the St. Louis Blues...
