5 Plead Guilty Following N.Y. Drug Ring Takedown

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. (CBSNewYork/AP) - Five people have pleaded guilty following the takedown of a narcotics trafficking ring that operated in New York City and the Hudson Valley.

Westchester County District Attorney Janet DiFiore announced the pleas Thursday.

About 250 state, federal and local law enforcers were involved in the arrests on May 8.

Authorities seized about $1.5 million in cash; over 6 kilograms of cocaine; over 40 pounds of marijuana; 10 guns and several vehicles.

The defendants all pleaded guilty to attempted conspiracy. They're identified as Juan Nieto of the Bronx; Jason Nieto of Yonkers; Louis Crespo of Yonkers; Michael Figuerora of the Bronx; and Braulio Rosa of Easton, Pennsylvania.

Some of the defendants also pleaded guilty to drug-related offenses.

They'll be sentenced on Jan. 27.
