12/15 CBS2 Monday Evening Weather Headlines

By Giorgio Panetta, CBS 2 Chief Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Hi everyone!

Man, did today feel nice or what? We topped out near 50 degrees and had sunshine all day. I think I literally saw just a few clouds. There are some clouds trying to make their way in now, but we are just too dry.

This does bring up the chance for some black ice tonight if you live in a mountainous region -- mainly between the hours of 2 a.m. to 7 a.m. We stay relatively mild overnight across the region, so the threat is minimal and isolated -- bottoming out in the 30s for most.

Tomorrow will usher in a fair amount of clouds. I wouldn't expect much sun tomorrow save a few early breaks.

Showers will become more widespread as the day progresses. The rain is on the light side but it is fairly steady. Maybe some folks see 1/4 to 1/2 inch of rain. Steadier rain arrives after the sun sets.

Wednesday is a pretty pleasant day. Temps hang around the 50 degree mark again. Thursday brings the passage of the front and a high 10 degrees lower.

Check back in for a look at the extended.
