12/19 CBS2 Friday Morning Weather Headlines

By Mark McIntyre Jr, CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Good Friday morning everybody!

It's gonna be a good lookin' day across the area, but boy, will it be a cold start! Temps will start in the 20s and low 30s, but wind chills will make it feel about 10 degrees colder. Make sure the kids are bundled up for the bus top. The rest of the day? Warming up to about 40 with a mix of sun and clouds.

Then the all-important weekend forecast: It's looking better now than it had a few days ago. While it will be on the cold side, and with extra clouds, the storm threat that we were monitoring looks slim to none. Not to say it'll be totally dry, but we're only looking at a few stray sprinkles and flurries compared to a major storm.

Still, if you want to come into the city to check out holiday sights or go shopping, dress warmly... high temps will only hit the upper 30s and low 40s both weekend days.

Then the upcoming week looks unsettled with a few disturbances moving through. Chilly rain showers likely Monday afternoon/night, with an even bigger story to come for Christmas Eve... stay tuned!
