Time Is Running Out For Those Still Needing To Holiday Shop

FREEHOLD, N.J. (CBSNewYork) – Time is running out for those who still need to do some holiday shopping. Some still  have a long list of gifts to buy.

"Starbucks is definitely the first stop. We need some caffeine," Jackson resident Corinne Conlin said.

Conlin's mother sent her out with a list of gifts she still needs to buy.

"Some Yankee candles, scarves for cousins, friends, a big box of candy for my grandmother because she loves chocolates," she said.

One jewelry stole at the Freehold Raceway Mall was jam packed—with mostly men buying gifts for their wives, Sloan reported.

"Something to go with her other Pandora jewelry," Tim Woolverton said of the gifts he's buying his wife.

"We just got here. We just got started with energy but we need to replenish," Erin Perez said while shopping.

Zezet Bastawros and her granddaughter planned on staying at the mall late and taking advantage of the extended hours.

"Very busy. I took the week off but didn't expect that everybody had taken the week off," Bastawros said.

For others, Santa was the first stop at the mall, like little Abby who wants just one thing: Barbie dolls.

Many shopping centers will also stay open late Tuesday night.
