Overturned Tractor-Trailer Snarls Morning Commute In Queens

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) -- An overturned tractor-trailer made a mess of the morning commute in Queens.

It happened around 5:30 a.m. Tuesday on the Long Island Expressway between Main Street and Kissena Boulevard in Flushing.

Police said the tractor-trailer jackknifed and flipped and some of the cars it was carrying toppled off and overturned. No other vehicles were involved, but at least one person was hurt.

All eastbound lanes were closed for about two and a half hours but have since reopened. Westbound traffic was backed up.
