CBS2: 3 Cops From Salt Lake City Subdue Passenger On Plane From JFK

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Three police officers flying out of John F. Kennedy International Airport on Monday helped restrain an unruly passenger, sources told CBS2.

The officers had been in town to attend the funeral on Sunday for NYPD Officer Wenjian Liu, who was shot and killed along with Officer Rafael Ramos on Dec. 20 in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn.

They were flying home to Salt Lake City when a woman on the plane experienced some sort of medical issue and became combative, CBS2 reported.

The flight was diverted to O'Hare International Airport in Chicago.
