After dealing with a brief bout of a stomach virus, Boomer made his return to the Allstate Studio Friday only to have his radio partner and BFF, Craig Carton, come up a little lame.

With Craigie now sidelined, Evan Roberts was called upon to fill in, so he was sitting to the left of the Blonde Bomber on this Football Friday edition of the altered Morning Extravaganza. And this duo got started by discussing the rekindled rivalry between Boomer's beloved Rangers and Evan's Islanders. Hockey talk on the FAN!

Then the guys talked about the decision the New York Football Giants made in bringing back Steve Spagnuolo to replace recently fired Perry Fewell as Big Blue's defensive coordinator.

Spagnuolo is of course held in high regard among Giants fans, having led the defense that engineered the improbable upset of Tom Brady and the undefeated Patriots in Super Bowl XLII, holding the then-undefeated Pats to just 17 points.  Boomer calls the hire a good one.

The conversation eventually shifted towards Nets coach Lionel Hollins, beat reporters and columnists as this well-rounded show open wrapped up.
