So Far This Winter, Snow Business Is Slow Business

COMMACK, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- Those in the snow and winter supply business could use some help from Mother Nature.

At Commack Hardware, for example, there are stacks of shovels, ice scrapers and snow melt.

"All we need now is some snow," owner Steven Jackson told WCBS 880 Long Island Bureau Chief Mike Xirinachs.

"It's been a little slower than normal, I mean, compared to last year, when we had three or four major storms already," Jackson added.

"Sometimes they say even just a good scare is as good as a storm."

Things, however, are looking up for Jackson. Snow is in the forecast for Saturday and Monday.
