Odell Beckham Jr. Reveals He Played Rookie Season With 2 Hamstring Tears

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Maybe he really is superhuman, after all.

Following his appearance in the Pro Bowl on Sunday night, Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. admitted that he played his rookie season with two tears in his right hamstring.

"They healed up enough to where I could play with them, but they were never truly good, and I'm still just working on them and trying to get ready," the 22-year-old told the New York Post.

Beckham Jr. missed all of the preseason and the first four games of 2014. He said he was hurt on the first day of training camp, and then again prior to the Giants' third preseason game against the Jets.

"I should be good by training camp," the PFWA Rookie of the Year and PFWA Offensive Rookie of the Year told the newspaper. "The plan is to play at full strength next season, and I definitely hope to do it. I'm just looking forward to getting healthy."

Beckham Jr. had a rookie season for the ages. In just 12 games, the All-Pro caught 91 passes for 1,305 yards and 12 touchdowns. The first-round pick registered seven 100-plus yard games and had four multiple-touchdown performances.

And just imagine what he'll be able to do when he's fully healthy.

Beckham Jr. kicked five field goals during warmups and then did what he does best during the game, catching five passes for 89 yards.
