WATCH: A-Rod Flashes The Leather At Third Base Down In Tampa

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The Yankees have said Alex Rodriguez's days of being an everyday fielder are over. But that didn't stop him from showing off the old glove and arm on Thursday.

The soon-to-be 40-year-old slugger took grounders during a team workout in Tampa, Florida. The Yankees solidified third base during the offseason when they signed veteran Chase Headley to a four-year contract.

There's also been talk of A-Rod playing some first base, but he's yet to put on the foreign glove.
