Police: Suspects Pistol-Whipped Man, Beat Him With Golf Club In The Bronx

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police were searching Wednesday for two suspects who pistol-whipped a man and beat him with a golf club in the West Bronx.

Around 5 p.m. Tuesday, the 21-year-old victim ran into the two suspects at 66 E. Kingsbridge Rd., police said.

One of the suspects fired a gun into the air and then hit the victim with the gun, police said. The other struck the victim with the golf club, police said.

The victim was taken to an area hospital, where he was treated and released, police said.

The suspect with the golf club was described was wearing a white striped shirt, while the suspect with the gun was wearing a hooded sweat shirt, police said.

Police have released surveillance photos of the suspects.
