3/13 CBS2 Friday Evening Weather Headlines

By Giorgio Panetta
CBS2 Chief Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Good evening all,

I hope you're having a good day so far. Clouds have started to fill in this afternoon, and now they are thickening up with moisture form the gulf. A low-pressure system loaded with rain is heading our way.

Rain will begin toward dawn around the city. Temps will be cold enough during the onset to warrant a Freezing Rain Advisory. It's really only for a brief period in the early morning before the milder push washes it out.

It'll be heaviest and steadiest in the morning with lighter showers in the afternoon. A widespread inch is likely with more just south of NYC.

Sunday is improving from run to run. The morning is looking drier before some wrap around showers take aim. Much of the moisture will dry before it reaches us. The Hudson Valley, however, will see some wet pavement.

Monday is looking to be the pic of the week with sun-filled skies and a high around 55 degrees!

Check back in soon for the latest.
