3/14 CBS2 Saturday Evening Weather Headlines

By Mark McIntyre, CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer

One word sums up the day we've had: soggy! Showers will wind down through the evening, but clouds will stick around. There will also be areas of dense fog, especially around coastal spots due to light winds and plenty of moisture. Overall it's a cloudy/foggy night with temps in the 40s overnight.

Winds will pick up tomorrow and make for a blustery day with northwest winds of 30-35 mph. While we expect mainly sunny skies through the afternoon with a high of 49, there is a chance for scattered showers during the afternoon-- mainly east of NYC. There could even be some flakes far north of the city, but nothing accumulating. Thankfully these showers will be fairly light and quick, so don't cancel any plans you may have.

Monday looks to be a beauty with plentiful sunshine to start and temps reaching the mid-50s in NYC. Clouds roll in late Monday and we could get some more rain showers Monday night into Tuesday.

Let's end on a good note: Spring is only 6 days away!
