First-Ever Harlem EatUp Festival Gets Cooking Thursday

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- If you're looking for a tasty and fun meal this week, head to Harlem.

It is hosting the first-annual Harlem EatUp, a four-day festival inviting everyone uptown to see and taste everything the neighborhood has to offer.

"Harlem EatUp is a cultural event, and it's showcasing food, music," Aaliyah Baylor of Make My Cake told CBS2's Diane Macedo. "And it was a brainchild of Marcus Samuelsson and Herb Karlitz, and it's going to be a fabulous event that is celebrating the current chefs. And we're going to also be having tastings throughout the weekend and different panels. So the event is going to be very well rounded. You're going to get a hug of Harlem."

The festival starts Thursday and runs through May 17. For more information, visit HarlemEatUp.com.
