Another Stamford HS Staffer To Be Fired After Teacher-Student Sex Scandal

STAMFORD, Conn. (CBSNewYork) -- It's been two months since Stamford High School teacher Danielle Watkins was sentenced to 5 years in prison for having an inappropriate sexual relationship with a special education student.

Now, as WCBS 880's Sophia Hall reported, it appears the assistant principal, Angela Thomas Graves, will likely be fired over the scandal.

Graves would be the third person this week to be fired at the school.

On Monday, the superintendent announced the principal and another assistant principal will lose their jobs.

Stamford High Principal Donna Valentine and Assistant Principal Roth Nordin will be fired pending a board vote.

Authorities have said the administrators knew about Watkins sexually assaulting the teen, but never reported it.

Valentine and Nordin have been charged with failing to report the allegations to the proper authorities. They pleaded not guilty in October.

The shakeup came on a recommendation in a recent report by the district's law firm.
