Investigators and medical examiners are working to determine how he died. Police believe he was in his 30s.

The man was part of a group of people seen entering the hotel earlier, police told WCBS 880's Peter Haskell. When the others were seeing running out of the hotel around 4 a.m., police were called.

Cops said there had been two noise complaints about the room before they discovered the victim.

A hotel manager hasn't immediately returned a call. A front desk staffer said the establishment had no comment.

Hotel guests said they were shaken.

"A little scary," one woman said. "I mean, it's creepy."

"It's horrible," another woman said. "Shocking."
