Police: Suspect Attacked, Robbed 68-Year-Old Man In Brooklyn Subway Station

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Thursday were searching for a suspect who attacked a 68-year-old man and stole his cellphone at a Park Slope, Brooklyn elevated subway stop.

Around 5:45 p.m. this past Tuesday, the man was walking down the stairs of the Fourth Avenue/Ninth Street R Train station talking on his cellphone, police said.

The suspect punched the man several times in the head, face and body and took the cellphone, police said.

The suspect then jumped onto the northbound tracks and ran off, police said.

Police have released surveillance photos.
