5/24 CBS2 Sunday Evening Weather Headlines

Good Evening!

Another winner today as we saw mostly sunny skies with highs right around 80... officially 81 in Central Park. A few more high clouds than yesterday, but still plenty of sunshine as this Memorial Day weekend continues.

It stays mild overnight with a low of 62 in the city under partly cloudy skies. For Memorial Day itself, it's looking pretty nice overall. We bump up the temps into the low to mid 80s with a mix of sun and clouds. More clouds to start the day, more sun to end. Great grilling weather! It'll be breezy at times, especially at the beaches.

The rest of the week will see the return of heat and humidity, with highs in the mid to upper 80s by Wednesday. There is a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm each day, with the best bet being Thursday. Overnight lows in the city won't get much lower than the mid to upper 60s, a sign of that moist air.
