Boomer & Carton: Rangers Up Against It And David's Injury Is Down-'Wright' Puzzling

Boomer's beloved Rangers face elimination tonight down in Tampa, where they will lock horns with the Lightning in Game 6 of their Eastern Conference finals tussle. Go because of that, the Blonde Bomber was already in "game-day mode" when kicking off this Tuesday edition of the Morning Extravaganza alongside his radio partner/BFF Craig Carton.

The Dynamic Radio Duo gave the Blueshirts their due, as the Booms claims to just be happy his hockey team has a game to play tonight. (Let's see how he is feeling tomorrow morning shortly after 6 a.m. Stay tuned.)

As for the baseball scene, both locals managed to make a mark in the win column, as the Yanks broke out the big bats downing the Royals 14-1 in the Bronx, while the Mets managed to beat the Phillies 6-3 at Citi Field.

Off the field the Mets got some bad news with regards to the condition of David Wright.  Turns out the captain has been diagnosed with spinal stenosis and his return is unknown.  As you may recall, Wright went on the DL back in mid-April with a right hamstring strain, which generally doesn't lead to spinal stenosis, and therein lies the rub.

Boomer and Craig tried to make sense of the Wright injury, offered a Game 6 preview and continued to carry themselves as National Treasures. And there you have it....
