5/27 CBS2 Wednesday Afternoon Weather Headlines

By Justin Lewis

It won't be quite as warm this afternoon, but it will certainly be more humid. Storms will pop up far N&W of the city with activity filling in across parts of northern New Jersey and the Hudson Valley the remainder of the afternoon. Isolated severe storms are possible, as well. High in the low to mid 80s.

Showers and storms will spread into the city tonight, likely towards the tail end of the rush or even later. This activity will be scattered through the evening and will likely subside into the late night hours. Low around 70°.

Tomorrow we'll see a cold front push through the area; and we won't see quite as much storm activity, but we're still looking at a 20-30% chance of showers/storms. Highs will be warmer in the mid to upper 80s.

Friday continues to trend drier, so now it's looking like a pretty nice finish to the work week: partly cloudy to mostly sunny, less humid and still warm with a high around 80°

Even Saturday's not looking too bad with highs still above normal in the low 80s and generally quiet through the afternoon.

Check back for more on the rest of this week and the weekend!
