Eli Manning On 'Entourage' Movie: 'I Don't Think I'll See It ... I'll Pass'
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Late last month, "Entourage" creator Doug Ellin claimed that Eli Manning stood his show up some years ago, and he's still not happy about it.
Ellin told Yahoo Sports' Graham Bensinger that, during the show's run, the Giants' quarterback reached out to him personally about wanting to appear on the show. Ellin proceeded to write the two-time Super Bowl MVP into a scene, he told the website, and sent in the script.
But he never heard back from Big Blue's signal caller despite calling him repeatedly.
"I was going crazy," Ellin told Yahoo Sports. "Beyond frustrating."
Apparently Manning isn't as big a fan of "Entourage" as Ellin originally thought he was. The "Entourage" movie came out last week -- Tom Brady, not Manning, is in it -- and the Giants' star is not particularly interested in seeing it.
"I don't think I'll see it," Manning said on Monday. "I'll pass."
Ouch.
When asked to respond to Ellin's accusations that he bailed on the show, Manning chose not to get into it. As he often does, he took the higher road.
"I don't, whatever ... I don't want to give it any more press than there already has been," he said "It doesn't bother me. Whatever."
"Entourage" has received mixed reviews and finished fourth in the box office in its first weekend.
