6/14 CBS2 Sunday Evening Weather Headlines
With the weekend drawing to a close, let's take a moment to reflect on the gorgeous warmth and sunshine that we had, because rain is on its way tonight!
A broken line of showers/thunderstorms is working its way towards the area and should arrive around midnight. Some storms could be on the stronger side with torrential rain and gusty winds. It'll be a muggy and mild night with temps only bottoming out in the upper 60s to near 70.
Tomorrow will start off the way tonight ended - stormy. There is a slight risk for severe thunderstorms for much of NJ as well as parts of the Lower Hudson Valley.
Main threats with any storms that become severe would be damaging wind and small hail along with roadway flooding from downpours. It'll be a seasonable yet humid day as we top off at 79 degrees in NYC.
Tuesday will feature yet another chance for thunderstorms, but these will be more isolated in nature. Tuesday will be a bit warmer with highs back into the mid 80s. Wednesday looks like an absolute gem with sunny skies, low humidity, and pleasantly warm highs in the low 80s.
