Alex Rodriguez is closing in on 3,000 career hits, and it sure seems like people are actually excited about it.

Last night in the Bronx, the crowd came to its feet in the eighth inning when A-Rod stepped to the plate with a chance to get the magical knock. He was walked on four pitches by Marlins reliever Sam Dyson, who was promptly booed by the aforementioned Yankee Stadium crowd.

Boomer & Craig got the ball rolling this Friday morning by discussing the remarkable turnaround Rodriguez has experienced, as he continues to win the admiration of the fans.

Meanwhile, over at Giants minicamp, reports are that Odell Beckham Jr. -- who is not participating in practice due to a sore hamstring -- has grown tired of his teammates poking fun at him, and he wasn't interested in talking to the media about it.  After a meteoric rise to fame following his 12-game rookie campaign, Beckham Jr. had no problem dealing with all of the perks that came along with it. So now that the tables have turned a bit, Boomer and Craig think the spectacular wide receiver needs to get some thicker skin.
